Biography: 

He is known to the Barbadian society as a multitalented entertainer not only can he sing but he is an actor as well. Ishiaka McNiel has been involved in entertainment from as early as age seven. He got his early start performing with the Wesley Hall Boys’ choir under the direction of Mr. Cameron Withers. His love for the arts saw him participating in the Junior Calypso Monarch competition in 1993 and 1994. In 1998 Ishiaka entered the Richard Stoute Teen Talent contest and in 1999 he won that competition. In 2000 he entered into the adult calypso arena and has been a consistent competitor from then making the Pic-O-de-Crop finals on two occasions and the semifinals six times. Ishiaka was also a Party Monarch finalist in 2001.

Ishiaka can also boast of been given a lucky stick as he got involved in theatre as well from 1996 he graced the theatrical stage with Stage One Theatre productions in their school production of Julius Ceasar. Ishiaka was a member of the Laff-it- Off Theatre Company from 2002 until 2010. Some of his theatrical credits include BLESSED [2004], S.E.X STORIES EXCHANGE [2005], PRAISE SONG FOR BURGIE[2006]THE IT SO HAPPENED SUITE[2010]. Ishiaka can boast of being the first recipient of the Jackie Opel Spouge award [2000] and many others awards to numerous to mention. Ishiaka is a graduate of the Associate Degree in Theatre Arts at the Barbados Community College and an Immigration Officer by profession. During the Crop Over season he can be found in the Celebration Time Calypso tent.
