Competition Rules

Decisions of the judges will be final and binding on all matters.

  1. Entrants must be residents of Barbados, no older than 18 years nor should they have any relationship that would in any way limit the ability of COSCAP, CAIPO and any sponsor to the to use his/her name, likeness of work created for the competition in any media, on a royalty-free basis, without any payment of fees of any kind.
  2. The children of employees of COSCAP, CAIPO, sales representatives, advertising, promotion, public relations, judges and all other services involved with the Competition, are not eligible to enter the Competition.
  3. COSCAP and CAIPO reserve the right to modify, extend, suspend or terminate the Competition in its sole discretion with or without cause and with or without notice.
  4. Entries that include profanity, inappropriate or explicit language or any other representations deemed inappropriate by COSCAP and CAIPO will be disqualified.
  5. COSCAP and CAIPO may at their sole discretion where an insufficient number of entries are received as determined by COSCAP and CAIPO cancel the Competition or take other actions as deemed necessary under the circumstances.
  6. COSCAP, CAIPO nor their agents are responsible for lost, late, stolen, illegible, misdirected, incomplete or non-delivered entries.
  7. In no event will COSCAP, CAIPO or their agents be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind arising out of this competition.
  8. By submitting an entry, each entrant represents and warrants that the work is the Entrant’s sole, original work, that the Entrant has the power to grant the rights given under it and that the entry does not infringe or violate any copyright. Entrant further indemnifies COSCAP and CAIPO against any loss resulting from breach of these warranties
  9. Each of the entrants selected for the finals must sign and return the Confirmation of Eligibility Form confirming compliance with the Competition Rules.
  10. By participating in the Competition Entrant consents to:
    1. COSCAP and CAIPO using their names, biographical details and photograph/likeness in connection with the Competition, without further compensation.
    2. COSCAP and CAIPO using, copying, modifying and making available the submissions to the public (with or without attribution to the Entrant) for any purpose, including but not limited to any media or promotional activity concerning the Competition.
    3. participate in media interviews and promotional events connected with the Competition without further compensation.
